The Holidays were Good and I Have Some Resolutions

So it's a new year and I've decided that for one of my resolutions, I'm going to begin writing regularly in my blog again. What? Don't give me that look. I know I've said the same thing in the past and that I inevitably get distracted and the blogging falls by the wayside, but this time I'm for REAL! It's a resolution, after all, and those are never broken. Right? :)

With that aside, I had an exceptional holiday season. I took a few days off work and had a 10 day break, which was much needed. I spent some quality time gaming with the guys, ate like a gluttonous king, and enjoyed laughing and partying with my family - which is, in all honesty, what makes the holiday season great. Family and friends turn a few days off into a memorable and joyous season. I'm incredibly grateful for my wonderful family and for my fantastic friends, all of whom do so much to inspire me.

Here are some of my favorite things about the holidays.

Impromptu family photos with only half of us wearing shoes. :)

Mom's Christmas villages. :)

The Christmas tree, fully lit.

Old ornaments. (Some from before world war II)

Giving gifts. :)

I hope you had a very merry Christmas and a great New Year celebration.

  3. You contributed greatly to the occasion! The great failed caramel experiment of 2010, the perfect heat-in-the-microwave slippers for cold blooded mom, the tons of snow shoveled without complaint and don't forget Bumbo for baby!
You captured our "christmas house" perfectly in your photos. I'm glad you had fun!
